Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team on a TS/SCI cleared program. The role focuses on maintaining an OpenShift-based PaaS across multiple security domains, with Agile practices guiding development and deployment.

You will deploy OpenShift to sites, integrate with Crossplane and GitOps workflows, and coordinate with security teams to ensure ongoing compliance while supporting data services and documentation.

Qualifications

• / Active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Can sponsor for a polygraph.
• / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• / 5+ years Developer experience
• / Meet 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA
• / 100% onsite

Responsibilities

• O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments
• Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps
• Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online
• Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them
• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions
• Support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack
• Compile detailed documentation

Job Description Summary:

Work on a development team, utilizing Agile scrum methodology, which is responsible for developing and maintain agency wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains. The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying a myriad of application stacks and data services
