General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer to maintain and scale an agency-wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) across multiple security domains.

The role involves operating Red Hat OpenShift, supporting OpenShift operators, and deploying platforms to new sites. You will work with internal and external teams, ensure security compliance, and support data services such as RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Elastic Stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5–8 years Developer experience.
• DoW 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA.

Responsibilities

• O&M of Red Hat OpenShift across multiple security domains in Cloud and datacenter (vSphere).
• Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps.
• Deploy OpenShift to new sites and scale platforms with internal/external teams.
• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions.

Job Description Summary

Work on a development team, utilizing Agile scrum methodology, which is responsible for developing and maintain agency wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains. The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying a myriad of application stacks and data services.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments
• Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps
• Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online
• Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them
• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions
• Support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5-8 years Developer experience

The likely salary range for this position is $119,850 - $162,150. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
