Qualifications

• Certification meeting DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain existing Red Hat OpenShift environment.
• Support OpenShift operators and frameworks.
• Deploy OpenShift to new locations.
• Collaborate with teams for integration and scalability.
• Work with Security for compliance and secure solutions.

Job description

Overview

We are looking for a Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team in Springfield, VA or St Louis, MO. Work on a development team, utilizing Agile scrum methodology, which is responsible for developing and maintaining agency wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains. The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying a myriad of application stacks and data services

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments
• Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps
• Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online
• Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them
• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions
• Support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma/GED + 12 Years relevant experince orBachelor’s Degree + 8 Years relevant experience
• Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA

Desired Skills

• Experience deploying and managing RedHat Open Shift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
