Job summary

Populous in Dallas is seeking a Cloud Engineer with 5+ years of experience in AWS and/or Azure to join our Global Information Technology team. You will design, implement and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available multi-cloud infrastructure across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of experience working with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Proven hands-on experience with cloud networking concepts (VPC, VNets, subnets, routing tables).
• Experience configuring and managing firewalls and security controls (Palo Alto, AWS Security Groups, NACLs, Azure NSGs).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and designing secure network connectivity (VPNs, private endpoints, hybrid networking).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

Responsibilities

• Designing, deploying and managing cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure environments.
• Architecting and implementing secure network solutions, including VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing and connectivity.
• Configuration and management of Palo Alto Firewalls, network security groups and security controls.
• Maintaining and extending existing Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK, TypeScript), proposing improvements.
• Monitoring system performance, availability, and security using cloud-native and third-party tools.
• Support cloud migration strategies and hybrid cloud architecture.
• Designing and maintaining secure connectivity (VPN, site-to-site, client VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute).
• Maintaining infrastructure supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions runners, cloud environments).
• Supporting vulnerability response processes and remediation timelines.
• Troubleshooting and resolving cloud, network, and firewall-related issues.
• Support deployment infrastructure for web applications and on-premises software distribution.
