Job summary

Populous, a global design firm, is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure. The role involves security, networking, and hybrid cloud work, collaborating across time zones with our Digital team.

You’ll work on CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and vulnerability response while supporting migration strategies and secure connectivity. Junior to senior candidates with relevant certifications will be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with cloud networking concepts (VPC, VNets).
• Experience configuring firewalls and security controls (Palo Alto, AWS/NACLs).
• Infrastructure-as-code experience (CDK/Terraform).
• CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
• Architect secure network solutions (VPCs, subnets, routing).
• Maintain IaC and review changes through standard processes.
• Monitor performance, availability, and security with cloud tools.
• Support cloud migrations and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Ensure secure connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute).
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment targets.
