Job summary

Populous is seeking a Cloud Engineer with 5+ years of experience working with AWS and/or Azure to join our Global Information Technology team. You will design, implement and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments.

You will collaborate across time zones, design secure connectivity, manageIaC and CI/CD pipelines, and support cloud migration strategies while ensuring best practices and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with cloud networking concepts (VPC, VNets, subnets, routing).
• Experience configuring and managing firewalls and security controls (Palo Alto, AWS Security Groups, NACLs, Azure NSGs).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience in designing secure network connectivity (VPNs, hybrid networking).

Responsibilities

• Designing, deploying and managing cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure environments.
• Architecting and implementing secure network solutions with VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing and connectivity.
• Managing firewall and security controls (Palo Alto, security groups, NACLs).
• Maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK, TypeScript).
• Monitoring performance, availability, and security using cloud-native tools.
• Supporting cloud migration strategies and hybrid cloud architecture.
• Maintaining secure connectivity (VPNs, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute).
• Supporting CI/CD infrastructure (GitHub Actions runners, deployment targets).
• Troubleshooting cloud, network, and firewall-related issues.
