Job summary

Trading Technologies International is seeking a Data Engineer to modernize a large SQL Server-based data platform, migrate workloads to Snowflake, and build scalable data pipelines on AWS. You will work across both legacy SQL Server and the cloud platform, delivering new capabilities and performance improvements.

The role emphasizes ETL/ELT design, data modeling, and production systems, with a hybrid work setup requiring three days in-office per week and two remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Snowflake and AWS cloud services experience required.
• Strong SQL development and production data systems background.
• Experience with large datasets and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL Server queries and data processing workflows.
• Design and develop Snowflake data solutions and data models.
• Migrate data and processing from SQL Server to Snowflake.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, and Airflow.
• Develop data ingestion and processing workflows on AWS (S3).
• Perform SQL Server and Snowflake performance tuning and optimization.
• Create data validation and reconciliation processes for migrated data.
• Troubleshoot production data issues and implement long-term fixes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and operational controls for data pipelines.
• Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, and product teams.
• Support and enhance Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) products.
