Job summary

Publicis Groupe is seeking a Client Budget Analyst in El Segundo to manage client billing requests, PO creation, and vendor invoicing. The role partners with Account, Media, and Client Finance teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and timely billing.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in finance operations, strong Excel skills, and a detail-oriented mindset. This hybrid role requires working four days onsite in El Segundo with one day remote, offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in client finance, project finance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial operations, or related roles.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Data reconciliation and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit client billing requests timely and accurately.
• Monitor open billing items and follow up with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Create, monitor, and maintain purchase orders for vendors.
• Review vendor invoices for completeness, appropriate coding, and supporting documentation.
• Process and track vendor invoices through approval and payment workflows.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Resolve vendor payment inquiries.
• Perform routine reconciliations of project costs, billings, commitments, and invoices.
• Review project actuals and identify coding or allocation issues for correction.
• Support job setup, maintenance, and closure activities.
• Produce recurring financial reports for project teams and finance leadership.
• Monitor project spend against approved budgets and identify potential overruns.
• Maintain trackers and reporting tools used to support financial decision-making.
• Support future finance reporting initiatives as business processes evolve.
• Maintain documentation for audit compliance.
• Assist in maintaining and improving finance processes and reporting tools.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
