Job summary

Progressive is seeking a claims adjuster trainee in Sandy, UT, offering a hybrid schedule with in-office two days per week and the rest remote, for a 12‑month training period. You will learn to determine coverage and liability while handling a full claims load and receiving coaching from leaders.

Upon completion of training, salary ranges from $54,000 to $57,500 per year, with potential gainshare incentives. Must reside near Sandy, UT and have qualifying education/experience.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree OR
• Two years work experience and an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage
• Determine liability (who’s at fault for the damages)
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims
