Job summary

Wellabe is seeking a Claims Supervisor to lead a team of claims professionals and coordinate day-to-day activities. You will monitor workload, provide training, and guide adjudication decisions while ensuring regulatory and company standards are met.

Responsibilities include directing the team, delivering guidance, resolving escalations, and participating in performance management and recruitment. Emphasis on training, policy communication, and quality control.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of claims administration processes, insurance regulations, and quality standards.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; able to explain complex information.
• Ability to coach, develop, and support team performance while managing workloads and priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to make sound, timely decisions by evaluating information and applying policies.
• Customer service and conflict resolution skills for escalated situations.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and proficiency with business technology.

Responsibilities

• Direct the claims team to ensure consistent delivery of services meeting customer expectations and standards.
• Provide technical guidance to team members.
• Resolve complaints, problems, and coverage questions.
• Participate in management duties including performance management and recruitment.
• Provide ongoing training and coaching to team members and communicate policies.
• Review and analyze management reports and take appropriate action.
• Perform quality reviews on claims to meet audit and contract requirements.
• Ensure claim files are properly coded with adequate documentation.
• Oversee workflow, provide feedback, hire, and manage performance of direct reports.
