Job summary

Security First Managers, LLC is seeking a Claims Manager to lead a team of Claims Examiners responsible for handling, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of homeowner property and liability claims. This role provides daily leadership, technical guidance, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service.

We require six years of property and liability claims experience, with three to five years in direct claims handling and supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of property and liability claims experience.
• Three to five years of direct claims handling.
• One to three years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coach a team of Claims Examiners to meet guidelines and performance expectations.
• Review, evaluate, assign, and oversee property and liability claims, including reserves and loss adjustments.
• Analyze policy terms to resolve complex coverage issues.
• Monitor claim trends and conduct file reviews to improve outcomes.
• Refer complex claims to special units or litigation when needed.
• Build relationships with customers, internal teams, and regulators while maintaining confidentiality.
• Provide training, mentoring, and ongoing development for staff.
• Oversee workload distribution, staffing, and budgeting.
• Respond to weather events and other incidents, with flexibility for hours.
• Work onsite in hybrid model.
