Job summary

Progressive is seeking a claims adjuster trainee in the Alexandria, VA area. This hybrid role trains you to determine coverage and liability, interview customers and witnesses, and coordinate repairs with appraisers, all while building relationships over the phone.

You will receive in-depth training on property damage and insurance contracts, with coaching from a collaborative team. Training days are in-office and the remainder may be worked from home, with schedule options after training, and

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree OR
• Two years work experience and an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage
• Determine liability (who’s at fault for the damages)
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims
