Job summary

MacKay in Pasco, WA seeks a Civil Project Engineer (PE) to lead design for roadway, water, sewer, and natural gas utility projects from concept to construction. You will mentor junior staff, liaise with clients and project managers, and contribute to winning future work while ensuring buildable, code-compliant designs.

The role requires WA/OR PE licensure, a civil engineering degree, and 5 years of relevant experience, with emphasis on gas infrastructure and AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registered PE in Washington and/or Oregon.
• 5 years of civil engineering experience.
• Experience in utility design, grading plans, and site development in Western Washington.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide design guidance, and manage technical delivery of civil projects focused on natural gas infrastructure.
• Communicate with clients and collaborate with project managers and business development to win future work.
• Direct and support technical staff to deliver projects.
• Assist project managers with scope, budget, and schedule; prepare deliverables.
• Assist with business development to cultivate client relationships.
