Job summary

MacKay in Pasco, WA seeks a Civil Project Manager to lead projects from planning through design completion, coordinating client relationships and technical execution. You will oversee engineers, subconsultants, and support staff, preparing site development plans, reports, and permit applications while ensuring code compliance and project quality.

Ideal candidates have a PE license in Washington, 7+ years of civil project management, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington is required or strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of related civil engineering project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects scope, schedule, budget, and quality control.
• Serve as primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships.
• Oversee engineering teams, subconsultants, and support staff.
• Lead site development plans, reports, calculations, and permits.
• Review and approve designs ensuring codes and client requirements.
• Support business development with proposal inputs and opportunities.
• Facilitate meetings with clients, agencies, and internal teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and project team members.
• Monitor performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
