Job summary

MacKay in Chicago, IL seeks a Civil Project Engineer (PE) to design and deliver land development, public works, utilities, and transportation projects from concept through bid documents and construction reviews. This hybrid role is based in our downtown Chicago office with easy access to transit.

You will collaborate with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams, mentor engineers-in-training, prepare client communications, and contribute to buildable, scalable designs while meeting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required.
• Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills are expected.
• Experience mentoring engineers-in-training and drafting technicians is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and technical delivery of civil projects focused on Public Transportation.
• Communicate with clients regarding scope, schedules, and deliverables.
• Prepare engineering calculations and analysis reports to support design decisions.
