Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Civil Project Designer in Southern California with base options in Anaheim, Ontario, or Pasadena. You will lead design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer for low to moderate complexity projects and mentor Civil Design Technicians.

You will support planning, budgeting, permitting, and construction administration while collaborating with engineers and consultants to deliver resilient infrastructure for Southern California and the Southwest.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for low to moderate complexity civil site projects and support senior staff on larger, high complexity work.
• Direct and train Civil Design Technicians in completing reports, exhibits, plans, specifications, and permit applications as required by the project's contractual scope.
• Perform engineering analysis, design field inspections, and site drainage and grading design.
• Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards.
• Complete and oversee permit applications for a variety of municipalities in coordination with the team, Client, and reviewing jurisdiction.
• Oversee projects through bidding and construction administration phase.
• Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, communicate technical information effectively, and build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
