Goldberg, Miller & Rubin is seeking a litigation paralegal to join our growing team in New York. This position offers hybrid/remote work based on experience. The firm focuses on civil litigation including auto, medical malpractice, toxic torts, and general liability.

The role involves assisting attorneys, handling discovery, drafting motions, subpoenas, and preparing for trial. A paralegal certificate or related degree is a plus, with 2+ years in civil litigation preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in civil litigation; experience in insurance defense preferred but not required.
• Paralegal certificate or other related degree is a plus but not required.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting attorneys in preparing civil litigation matters for trial.
• Work with clients to receive discovery documents.
• Review discovery materials.
• Draft motions and discovery responses as well as other documents.
• Draft and send out Subpoenas.
• Set up independent medical examinations.
• Review medical records and summarize important information.
• Prepare for trial.
