Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the Connecticut State Bar or adequate UBE score for admission
• 3–8 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or related areas
• Clerkship experience is a valuable asset
• Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions; strong legal research and responding to discovery; able to assist in mediations, arbitrations, trials and hearings
• Attention to detail, prioritization, and effective communication are essential

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload from inception to conclusion, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise litigation strategies
• Keep clients informed with status updates and written reports; conduct legal research and write memoranda
• Work with partners and senior attorneys to ensure smooth case management in a collaborative environment
