Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Hybrid Engineering Technician to support civil projects from planning through design. You will work with Autodesk Civil 3D, PVcase, and PVFarm to prepare site plans, grading, and utility layouts under supervision.

The role involves producing and updating technical drawings, coordinating with other groups, and applying BV quality standards. Hybrid schedule and ESOP benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate required.
• Associate degree in drafting or an engineering design related technology preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 2 years related work experience.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background checks and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Supports engineering teams under general supervision.
• Performs technical tasks with intermediate engineering knowledge.
• Uses CAD, BIM and other design tools for project deliverables.
• Creates, updates, and maintains technical drawings and documents.
• Mentors junior engineering technicians and ensures compliance with BV practices.
• Applies BV Quality Program standards to deliverables.
• Contributes to process improvements and document control.
