Job summary
Black & Veatch Corporation seeks a Senior Engineering Technician in the Power Providers Market to lead design teams and deliver high-quality site development plans using CAD, BIM, Civil 3D, and MicroStation. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers on complex infrastructure projects.
The role requires at least 11 years of related experience and an Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Technology; a Bachelor's is preferred.
Qualifications
- 11+ years of related work experience.
- Associate degree in drafting or engineering design technology required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering design related technology preferred.
Responsibilities
- Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor.
- Applies advanced technical expertise to solve complex design challenges within a specific engineering discipline.
- Contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions.
- Uses digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM) with standardized procedures to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables.
- Provides consultation, training, and oversight to other engineering technicians to ensure quality and consistency.
- Reviews project requirements to determine correct formats and deliverable content.
