Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Staff Civil Engineering Technician to support multidisciplinary teams in the VDDS group. The role focuses on site development, grading, and utility layouts using Autodesk Civil 3D, PVcase and PVFarm.

You will work under general supervision, providing technical guidance to engineers and technicians, ensuring quality and adherence to design standards across complex infrastructure projects. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate required.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.

Responsabilités

• Functions in a project engineering technician capacity.
• Supports engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables.
• Applies foundational engineering principles and established design practices to create moderately complex design concepts and solutions.
• Uses CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling to create and modify drawings and deliverables.
• Provides technical guidance to other professionals to ensure quality and consistency.
• Reviews project requirements to determine the correct format and contents of the required deliverables.
• Evaluates deliverables against BV standards and codes.
• Performs design calculations and estimates.
• Coordinates with design group personnel to exchange project information.
• Supports field activities as needed.
