Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead site development for data center and large industrial programs, working in a hybrid model from one of Ramboll's U.S. offices.

Ideal candidates have a civil engineering degree (B.S. or M.S.), 10+ years of relevant experience, and a PE license (or ability to obtain by comity). Strong AHJ coordination, land development, and multi‑discipline design review are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer license strongly preferred, with ability to obtain licensure by comity in one or more target states.
• Substantial land development and site civil design experience for large, complex sites.
• Experience working with AHJs and guiding local approval processes.
• Proven project management with scope, schedule, budget, and risk control.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering and land development services for data center, mission‑critical, and large industrial projects from site selection through permitting and construction support.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, staffing, client communications, and subconsultants across concurrent assignments.
• Direct technical work in site layout, drainage, utilities, access design, and permitting.
• Serve as liaison with AHJs and agencies, interpreting codes and development standards.
• Mentor project engineers and CAD staff while supporting client development and Ramboll’s local presence in target markets.
