Job summary

Ramboll, a global engineering, design, and consultancy firm, is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager for hybrid-based work across multiple U.S. offices.

The role focuses on leading site development for data centers and large industrial programs, with emphasis on AHJ coordination, local permitting, and cross-disciplinary delivery. A bachelor’s or master’s in civil engineering and ~10+ years of experience are expected, with PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer license strongly preferred, with ability to obtain licensure by comity in one or more target states.
• Approximately 10+ years of civil/site engineering experience with responsibility for project delivery and client coordination.
• Substantial experience working with AHJs, permitting requirements, and local approvals.
• Experience leading land development and site civil design for large, complex sites including industrial or mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering and land development services for data center, mission-critical, and large industrial projects from site selection through permitting and construction support.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, staffing, client communications, proposals, and subconsultants across multiple concurrent assignments.
• Direct technical work involving site layout, grading, stormwater, utilities, drainage, and site permitting.
• Serve as primary liaison with AHJs and agencies, interpret codes and development standards, coordinate inputs from survey, geotechnical, environmental, and other teams.
• Review and approve technical memoranda, calculations, plans, and client deliverables; mentor engineers and CAD staff.
