Qualifications

• Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
• Civil Engineer Trainee training program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title).
• Associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review engineering drawings, calculations, and analyses to support permits and resolve environmental issues.
• Coordinate environmental and engineering commitments from design documents and permits into construction activities.
• Inspect construction sites to check compliance with permits, environmental controls, and engineering requirements.
• Work with agencies, project staff, and the public to address environmental and engineering concerns during construction.
• Provide engineering and environmental support for permitting, documentation, training, and field operations.
• Assess construction and maintenance activities to ensure they follow engineering practices and environmental regulations.
