Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill is hiring a Civil Engineer to join the Site/Civil team in a hybrid role, based in Hartford. You will contribute to land development and infrastructure projects, collaborating across disciplines to deliver detailed designs and construction documents.

The position emphasizes near-term professional development and client-facing coordination, with opportunities for advancement and a strong emphasis on work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–4 years of civil/site engineering experience.
• EIT registration required; PE strongly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience with StormCAD and HydroCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed site/civil engineering design including: site layout, grading & drainage, utility design, stormwater management systems, erosion & sedimentation control plans.
• Prepare site plans and construction documents.
• Support permitting efforts and coordinate with local and state agencies.
• Perform occasional field work and site investigations.
• Collaborate with internal project teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Assist with project coordination, scheduling, and technical documentation.
