Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill is seeking a Civil Engineer in the New Haven area to join our Site/Civil team. You’ll collaborate with engineers and scientists on land development and infrastructure projects, contributing to planning, design, and execution.

This hybrid role offers in-office collaboration and remote work part of the week, with a focus on growth, professional development, and delivering high-quality technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and licensure track (EIT) preferred.
• 2–4 years of civil/site engineering experience in land development.
• EIT required; PE strongly preferred where applicable.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design work.
• Experience with StormCAD and HydroCAD is a plus.
• Familiarity with local/state permitting requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed site/civil design: layout, drainage, utilities, stormwater.
• Prepare site plans and construction documents for permits.
• Coordinate with local/state agencies and internal teams.
• Conduct field work and site investigations as needed.
• Support project scheduling, coordination, and documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions.
