State of Vermont is seeking a Civil Engineer I in the Structures Section to contribute to bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects across the state, from scoping to contract plan completion. The role involves collaboration with hydraulics, geotechnical, and construction engineers in Barre, VT with partial teleworking options.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, architectural engineering, or related technical field.
• OR Associates degree in civil engineering, construction management, architectural engineering, or related technical field AND two (2) years of engineering experience OR licensure as an Engineer Intern.
• OR College senior in the final year of a bachelor's degree program in civil engineering, construction management, architectural engineering, or related technical field.

Responsabilidades

• Scoping Analysis - Evaluate initial design concepts and collaborate with stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements and standards.
• Bridge Design - Design and analyze structural elements of bridges ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
• Roadway Design - Design horizontal/vertical alignments, superelevation, guardrails, drainage, and erosion protection.
• CADD Model Design and Drafting - Develop 3D models and draft contract drawings.
• Collaboration - Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate designs with infrastructure projects.
• Construction Documents - Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications and other documentation.
