Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Competitive Intelligence Manager to lead our CI strategy and own the Enterprise and Large Enterprise customer reference program. You will identify market and buyer insights to inform product strategy, pricing, and go-to-market decisions while accelerating revenue growth.

You will build and manage a network of strategic customer advocates for references, case studies, and speaking opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in competitive intelligence, product marketing, reference management, strategy, or sales enablement within HCM/HR tech or adjacent enterprise SaaS.
• Proven experience building battlecards, win/loss programs, pricing benchmarks, fulfilling references and CI repositories.
• Strong quantitative analysis (Excel/Sheets; familiarity with BI tools like Tableau/Power BI) and qualitative synthesis skills.
• Excellent storytelling and executive communication; comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
• Familiarity with HCM domains (HR, payroll, time & attendance, benefits, talent, compliance) and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal.

Responsibilities

• Lead competitive intelligence and enterprise advocacy initiatives; develop scalable processes and governance.
• Develop and maintain competitive battlecards, objection-handling guides, talk tracks, and narratives for verticals and buyer roles.
• Deliver actionable training and deal support for Sales, Solution Consulting, and Marketing teams; provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Own and manage the Enterprise and Large Enterprise customer reference program and advocate network.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Pricing, Operations, and Corp Dev to maximize business impact.
