Job summary

Nationwide seeks a data-driven Consultant, Competitive Intelligence, to collect, build and communicate data-driven recommendations. You will analyze market insights, monitor competitive position and partner with enterprise resources to deliver strategic insights.

Ideal candidates have a strong quantitative background, extensive data analysis experience and proficiency in SAS/SQL, with an ability to present complex findings to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, computer science, business, finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, MIS or related field with strong quantitative orientation preferred.
• Eight to ten years demonstrated experience in a business unit or equivalent.
• Programming and/or web development experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves and manipulates data, ensuring data suitability and accuracy.
• Updates Competitive Intelligence tools and reports; may update complex coding in applications.
• Conducts analyses and develops recommendations; investigates hypotheses and explores alternative resolutions.
• Leads or collaborates on interdisciplinary teams and prepares presentations for executives.
