Job summary

Blackbird Health is seeking a Child and Adolescent Therapist to join our Sterling, VA team. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary group to deliver high-quality care and empower families through evidence-based therapy for youth aged 2–26.

The role offers a hybrid schedule, 40 hours weekly, with 16 onsite clinical hours, and a base salary of $90,000 plus comprehensive benefits. You’ll join a mission-driven team dedicated to pediatric mental health care and family-centered support.

Qualifications

• Independently licensed in Virginia as LPC, LMFT or LCSW
• LMSW with an active SISW license or SISW eligibility required
• 1 year of direct therapy experience with children/adolescents
• Experience delivering telehealth or virtual sessions preferred
• Strong documentation and charting skills required
• Comfort with hybrid work model and after-school hours

Responsibilities

• Provide individual evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 2–26)
• Develop and adjust personalized treatment plans based on progress
• Build positive, trusting relationships with patients and families
• Participate in clinical consultations to enhance skills and receive support
• Collaborate with other specialty providers to coordinate care
• Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation and patient records
• Engage families and outside specialists when appropriate
