Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Category Manager, Indirect Technology Procurement, to lead sourcing programs across IT-related indirect spend. The role partners with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business goals, drive cost savings, and optimize supplier performance.

You will manage end-to-end sourcing events, develop category strategies, negotiate contracts, and oversee supplier relationships while ensuring governance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business, supply chain, finance, or marketing
• Minimum seven years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management
• Experience in managing indirect spend categories (IT, facilities, professional services, marketing) is highly desirable
• Certifications such as CPSM or CPM are a plus
• Strong negotiating, analytical, and supplier governance skills

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives across indirect spend categories
• Develop and execute category management strategies aligned with business needs
• Lead supplier negotiations for contracts, renewals, and amendments
• Collaborate with business units, finance, and legal to support objectives
• Analyze spend and market data to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Oversee contract lifecycle management and supplier performance reviews
• Build relationships with key suppliers and manage risks through due diligence
