Job summary

HireTalent - Staffing & Recruiting Firm is seeking a Procurement Category Manager for a hybrid role across multiple U.S. locations. You will advance strategic sourcing, negotiate contracts, and build strong vendor relationships with IT/Engineering suppliers.

The role demands 6+ years in sourcing and procurement, experience in IT vendor management, and a track record of achieving cost savings and spend optimization. Bachelor’s degree preferred; ZIP software experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of sourcing and procurement experience.
• Experience with IT/Technology vendor management.
• Strong contract negotiation and drafting experience.
• Proven success driving cost savings, cost avoidance, and spend optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; procurement software experience such as ZIP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT/Engineering vendor categories and strategic supplier relationships.
• Lead RFP/RFx, market research, competitive bidding, and sourcing initiatives.
• Negotiate vendor contracts and collaborate with Legal and business stakeholders.
• Identify and implement cost savings and cost-avoidance opportunities.
• Monitor vendor SLAs, spend, performance, QBRs/MBRs, escalations, and compliance.
