Job summary

GoAuto seeks a Hybrid Casualty Claims Adjuster in Irving, TX to handle first and third-party claims with guidance through training. The role requires an Auto and Property & Casualty license, and 3+ years in insurance claims, preferably auto.

You will obtain statements, assess damages, and coordinate with attorneys to settle claims while following required reporting standards. A hybrid schedule applies after probation.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in an insurance claim environment, preferably personal lines automobile.
• Successful experience as a Casualty Claim Adjuster or similar position.
• License/Certification: Auto Adjuster License/Property and Casualty License (Required)
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Address first and third-party material damage claims unrepresented and represented bodily injury claims.
• Obtain recorded statements of policyholders and other involved parties to establish a liability determination and verify coverage.
• Determine most appropriate course for establishing extent of damages.
• Review damage appraisals for obvious errors or oversights and communicate claims procedures to involved parties.
• Review all submitted injury related documentation for accuracy and establish realistic injury settlement ranges.
• Engage attorneys and injured parties to resolve pending injury claims for realistic amounts.
• Comply with reporting requirements such as ISO, CMS, etc.
• Apply comparative negligence to resolve claims.
• Document activities in claim file notes clearly and concisely.
• Issue claim payments and identify recovery potential to support team objectives.
