Job summary

Stratosphere Quality is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist in Fishers, IN for a hybrid 40-hour work week. You will process customer payments, post cash, and make account adjustments, collaborating with Accounting and Collections to resolve discrepancies.

The role requires basic accounting knowledge, strong Excel skills, and meticulous attention to detail, with three in-office days weekly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, cash application, or related experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Ability to work in the Fishers office three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Process and apply daily customer payments, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit card payments, and bank deposits.
• Record ACH and wire transfers between bank accounts using accounting software.
• Maintain cash-tracking files and bank balance information.
• Research payment discrepancies and make appropriate account adjustments.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cash reports for management.
• Partner with Collections to process bad-debt write-offs and adjustments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Follow company procedures and complete required training.
