Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a CAE Engineer focused on occupant safety to develop and validate CAE models for frontal, side, rear, pedestrian, and interior components. You will apply LS-DYNA and nonlinear finite element analysis to optimize safety features and ensure design intent through production launch.

The role requires 2+ years in occupant safety CAE, cross-functional collaboration, and knowledge of global passive safety regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Strong foundation in engineering mechanics and first-principles problem solving.
2+ years of occupant safety CAE experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and validate occupant CAE models for frontal, side, rear, pedestrian, roof-strength, and low-speed impact conditions.
Evaluate system-level occupant safety performance across crash configurations.
Optimize airbags, seat belts, steering columns, seats, instrument panels, and interior components.
Collaborate with structural engineering, design, suppliers, and safety teams.
Conduct DOE/DFSS optimization studies balancing performance, cost, and mass.
Support design reviews, technical recommendations, model standards, and simulation quality.
Deliver high-quality CAE models through Start of Production.
