Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-discipline intelligent modeling for transit and multimodal projects. You will integrate architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP into federated, clash-checked models across the project lifecycle.

You will mentor staff, enforce BIM standards, and coordinate with clients and agencies to ensure deliverables meet QA/QC requirements. Travel may be required to support projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Transit project experience is preferred.
• Familiar with agency & DOT design standards and BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination of intelligent models across architecture, vertical/transportation structures, roadway design and MEP.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows across offices.
• Mentor production staff and provide design sketches for deliverables.
• Interface with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverables.
• Support development of BIM Execution Plans and model-based scoping.
