Job summary

Deutsche Bank is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer for the CaaS Private platform in Cary, NC. You will operate and improve a multi-tenant on‑prem Kubernetes platform, partnering with platform, network, security, and application teams to ensure reliability and scale.

You will define SLIs/SLOs, implement observability, and automate toil, enabling rapid recovery and resilient services in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Kubernetes on bare metal/private cloud
• SRE/Production Engineering/DevOps background
• Linux admin with scripting (Python/Ansible/Bash)
• Observability and telemetry pipelines (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
• Incident management and root-cause analysis
• Able to leverage AI tools responsibly for workflows

Responsibilities

• Define and improve SLI/SLOs, alerting standards, and error budgets
• Build observability across metrics, logs, alerts, dashboards
• Lead or coordinate incident response for platform events
• Automate repetitive tasks to reduce toil and improve recovery time
• Improve reliability and safety of Kubernetes clusters and dependencies
• Collaborate with platform, network, security, and app teams on capacity and release readiness
