Job summary

The Intermediate Business Systems Analyst at Transamerica serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, supporting and enhancing critical business applications. You will analyze requirements, coordinate with IT, and help implement data-processing and governance activities.

You will work in a hybrid office environment with three in-office days per week at Cedar Rapids or other hub locations, and you will contribute to audits, testing, and process improvements while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience, preferably in IT or a business area.
• Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in business analysis.
• 2–4 years of industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and analyze business and system requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Configure applications and perform data-processing activities, translating business requirements into controlled system, data-processing, and operational changes.
• Create and maintain process flows, business procedures, and system documentation.
• Support Business Applications through incident analysis, issue resolution, testing, and enhancement activities.
• Analyze data quality, reporting, and process issues and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with vendors, developers, infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver solutions.
• Develop and execute test scenarios and support user acceptance testing.
• Support audits, access reviews, compliance activities, and application governance processes.
• Maintain application knowledge and identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a trusted liaison between business users and technology teams.
