Job summary

Transamerica is hiring an Intermediate Business Systems Analyst to bridge business stakeholders and technology teams. The role involves requirements, testing, governance, and ongoing support for critical applications, located in a hybrid office environment with three in‑office days per week at hub locations including Philadelphia.

You’ll collaborate across Finance, Risk, and Compliance, apply SQL/Snowflake/Azure skills, and drive process improvements with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience; 2–4 years in business analysis preferred.
• 2–4 years of industry experience in business analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and analyze business and system requirements.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Perform hands‑on application configuration and data‑processing activities, translating business requirements into controlled system, data‑processing, and operational changes.
• Create and maintain process flows, business procedures, and system documentation.
• Support Business Applications through incident analysis, issue resolution, testing, and enhancement activities.
• Analyze data quality, reporting, and process issues and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with vendors, developers, infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver solutions.
• Develop and execute test scenarios and support user acceptance testing.
• Support audits, access reviews, compliance activities, and application governance processes.
• Maintain application knowledge and identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a trusted liaison between business users and technology teams.
