Job summary

Bay Federal Credit Union is seeking a Business Relationship Manager to implement and grow our Business Lending program in the Santa Cruz area. You will develop long-term relationships with business owners, manage lending processes from origination to closing, and deliver exceptional service across all member touchpoints.

The role requires 3+ years in business lending, strong credit analysis, and the ability to drive portfolio growth while maintaining compliance and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Loan Officer with proven results.
• Strong financial and credit analysis skills to evaluate complex lending scenarios.
• Demonstrated experience developing business relationships and meeting production goals.
• Solid understanding of business lending products, underwriting, credit risk, and loan documentation.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with members, referral partners, and internal teams.
• Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with business owners and referral partners.
• Serve as a primary relationship manager for business members, delivering exceptional service throughout lending and credit management.
• Originate business loans and analyze financials, credit, collateral, and other information to recommend lending solutions.
• Prepare credit memos, annual reviews, underwriting materials, and loan committee presentations.
• Meet or exceed individual and department production goals while advising on competitive loan pricing for portfolio growth.
• Monitor credit quality and resolve documentation, collateral, past-due, and other credit exceptions.
• Coordinate collection, verification, documentation, and closing of business loans for a smooth member experience.
• Collaborate with branches and departments to generate leads and cross-sell Credit Union products.
