Job summary

Agile Tech Labs in Salem, OR is seeking a Business Analyst on a contract basis to support DOJ modernization efforts by gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into actionable specifications.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with process mapping and UAT, and the ability to convey technical concepts to business stakeholders while collaborating with program staff, vendors, and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience analyzing enterprise or large-scale modernization projects.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
• Experience creating process maps, user stories, SOPs, and functional documentation.
• Experience with UAT testing, test case preparation, and validation.
• Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with relational or cloud-based data platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for DOJ modernization initiatives.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, and research to understand business needs.
• Translate requirements into process diagrams, user stories, and business rules.
• Develop current-state and future-state process maps, SOPs, and system documentation.
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare UAT test cases and participate in testing.
• Document results and communicate issues for resolution.
• Support implementation activities and end-user training materials.
• Participate in train-the-trainer sessions and gather user feedback.
• Collaborate with program staff, analysts, technical teams, vendors, stakeholders.
• Assist with solution assessment and communicate technical concepts to business users.
• Support project and change management activities including workshops.
