Job summary

Global Information Technology in Salem, OR is seeking a Business Analyst to support enterprise modernization initiatives in a hybrid contract role. The position focuses on gathering and documenting requirements, creating process maps, user stories, and functional documentation, and participating in UAT and training activities.

You will work with program staff, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable specifications and support change management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise modernization initiatives.
• Strong ability to translate stakeholder requirements into actionable specifications.
• Experience creating process maps, user stories, and SOPs.
• Experience with UAT testing and test-case development.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of relational or cloud-based data platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support modernization initiatives by gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, document reviews, and research to understand needs.
• Translate requirements into process diagrams, user stories, rules, and functional specs.
• Develop and maintain current-state and future-state process maps, SOPs, docs.
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support implementation activities and develop end-user training materials.
• Participate in train-the-trainer sessions and gather user feedback.
• Collaborate with program staff, analysts, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Assist with solution assessment and communicate technical concepts to business users.
• Support project/change management activities, including workshops and consensus building.

• Experience with UAT testing, test case preparation, and validation.
• Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with relational or cloud-based data platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security practices is a plus.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences.
• Experience with project/change management is preferred.
