Job summary

Stanley Consultants seeks a Bridge Engineer in Denver, CO to perform design and analysis for steel and concrete structures, under supervision. You will develop plans with CADD teams and perform detailed calculations for superstructure and substructure.

Collaboration with clients and project teams is essential to advance design and resolve technical inquiries. The role requires a PE license, a 5+ year track record in bridge design, and familiarity with CDOT standards and AASHTO/LRFD codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; Master's preferred.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum 5+ years in structural/bridge design.
• Familiarity with CDOT standards and procedures.
• Experience with AASHTO LRFD/LRFR and NBIS familiarity a plus.
• Design experience using AASHTO, AREMA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural engineering design and analysis for steel and concrete bridges, walls, culverts, and sign structures under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Develop plans, specs, and estimates with CADD teams for preliminary and final bridge designs.
• Perform engineering calculations for superstructure and substructure components (girders, piers, abutments, retaining walls, deep foundations).
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to support project progress and resolve technical inquiries.
• Participate in technical meetings and problem‑solving for unique structural challenges.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction support under senior engineers.
• Collaborate with bridge engineering teams across Stanley Consultants locations to share knowledge and execute projects.
