Job summary

Children's Council of SF is seeking a BIPOC ECE Workforce Coordinator to support pre-apprentices and graduates in career pathways within San Francisco’s early education system. The role focuses on employer engagement, placement, and post-program community-building to ensure long-term professional growth for Black and BIPOC educators.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a service-oriented role, preferably in a nonprofit.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge or experience with African American/Black, Indigenous, and BIPOC communities in San Francisco.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience with database entry and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an employer engagement plan with licensed childcare centers and agencies.
• Coordinate placement sites for participants and facilitate on-the-job training opportunities.
• Provide 1:1 guidance to pre-apprentices and graduates pursuing permits or credentials.
• Draft templates and manage responsive communications and meetings.
• Connect participants to career resources, advisors, and continuing education options.
• Coordinate Fellowship activities and community-building events for cohorts.
