Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a Biostatistician II within the Statistical Data Analysis Center (SDAC) to provide biostatistical insights for independent data monitoring committees and industry-sponsored trials. Some work may be performed remotely with on-site requirements.

Responsibilities include designing methods, developing study designs, preparing manuscripts and reports, and advising on best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAS and SPLUS or R.
• Experience with the UNIX operating system and UNIX programming environment.
• Experience working with data from large, multifaceted databases.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements statistical methods and materials for research projects.
• Develops research study designs for research projects.
• Contributes to preparing manuscripts, presentations, reports, and proposals.
• Evaluates, analyzes, and interprets existing data, applies appropriate statistical methods, and prepares summarized reports.
• Advises on best practices and conducts biostatistical analysis for internal and external stakeholder groups.
