Job summary

Progressive Insurance is seeking a claims adjuster specialist in Tigard, OR. This hybrid role requires managing attorney-represented bodily injury claims, evaluating liability, coverage, and damages, and negotiating settlements with attorneys.

You’ll report to the office about four days a month for meetings, training, and collaboration, with options to work in-office more. The ideal candidate has four years of claims experience (one year in claims handling) and an active driver’s license with

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• Associate's degree or higher (or equivalent work experience) with claims exposure.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Determines coverage and liability.
• Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys.
• Settle claims and set reserves.
• Estimate costs of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents.
• Analyze medical reports and manage the claims process for efficient resolution.
• Interview and document information from claimants, agents, attorneys and police.
