Progressive in Tigard, OR seeks a claims adjuster specialist to manage attorney represented bodily injury claims. The role is hybrid with monthly in-office meetings and ongoing coaching from a supportive team.

You will assess liability, coverage, and damages, negotiate with attorneys, and settle claims to ensure efficient resolution. The ideal candidate has strong independent work experience, familiarity with auto insurance, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• OR Associate's degree and three years relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• OR Bachelor's degree and one year in claims handling.
• This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Determines coverage and liability
• Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys
• Settle claims and set reserves
• Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents
• Analyze and interpret medical reports, follow-up with no-fault parties, and manage claims process to ensure efficient resolution
• Interview, collect and document information from various people such as claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police
