Job summary

The Addison Group is seeking a Benefits Manager in Chicago (West Loop) on a Direct Hire basis. You will oversee benefits administration, retirement programs, leave management, and wellness initiatives, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of benefits administration experience, strong knowledge of ERISA/COBRA/HIPAA, and the ability to communicate benefits information effectively to employees and leadership. Hybrid work schedule in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive benefits administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of benefits regulations (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, FLSA).
• Experience presenting and consulting on benefits to employees and leadership.
• Experience with brokers, carriers, and vendor negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee benefits administration, retirement programs, leave management, and wellness initiatives.
• Partner with Payroll and HR to verify benefit deductions and updates; audit payroll reports.
• Coordinate retirement and 403(b) programs and maintain records; ensure confidentiality.
