Job summary

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is seeking an Account Benefit Manager in Newark with a hybrid work setup. You will interpret and document benefit information for clients, lead enrollment and billing issue resolution, and coordinate with internal teams to implement new accounts.

The role requires 5+ years of benefit experience, strong written communication, and the ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders. NJ licensing within 6 months is encouraged; a degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 5 years of equivalent health benefits work if no degree.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to interact with senior-level individuals.

Responsibilities

• Interprets, documents, reviews and issues all benefit and client documentation for new and existing clients.
• Conducts off-site client meetings to review benefit documentation and validate client input.
• Facilitates internal reviews to ensure accurate interpretation of benefit paperwork.
• Oversees implementation of new accounts and resolves enrollment/billing issues for the first 30 days.
• Builds relationships with Account Management and internal departments to enable benefit changes and new lines of business.
• Prepares training materials and conducts on-site training for service teams.
• Assists with pre-implementation audits.
