Securian Financial Group in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a claims professional who develops and administers benefit and claims policies, investigates data, and communicates with customers, home office staff, field personnel, and third-party representatives to provide background status and disposition of cases.

Responsibilities include processing settlements, contacting beneficiaries about options and documentation, understanding IRS and state regulations, and delivering excellent customer service

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills and professional telephone manner.
• Solid organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail while maintaining accuracy.
• Problem solving and analytical ability to handle complex claims.

Responsabilités

• Process claims settlements.
• Correspond with beneficiaries regarding claim options and required documentation.
• Understand impacts of IRS, federal or state regulations on claims processing and communicate them.
• Process the claim option requested by the beneficiary following contract provisions and regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to beneficiaries, clients, and advisors.
• Answer the backup Claims line, respond to emails, and handle written correspondence.
• Articulate the operation of the claims process and any special circumstances affecting a claim.
